1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course - £95 + VAT (£114) includes PDF certificate and free first aid booklet.

  • 1 day course (minimum 6 hours).

    This qualification will develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in delivering emergency first aid in the workplace. Our First Aid at Work courses are for anyone and everyone who values having the confidence to handle medical emergencies.

    We deliver our training in a fun and friendly atmosphere whilst providing as much realism as possible.

    We offer public courses and private group bookings as well as bespoke first aid training e.g for DofE. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

    This qualification meets the requirements for Emergency First Aid at Work as outlined in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

  • The course encompasses a mixture of theoretical and practical sessions and is run in a friendly and relaxed environment.

    Topics covered in this course:

    • Primary and secondary survey

    • Roles and responsibility of a first aider

    • Summoning help

    • Recovery position

    • CPR

    • AEDs

    • Seizures, choking and shock

    • Fainting

    • Burns and scalds

    • Critical bleeding

    • Bites and stings

    • Small cuts, grazes, bruises, splinters and nose bleeds

  • You can ‘bolt on’ an additional hour to your Emergency First Aid at Work course and gain either an EFAW + Sport, EFAW + Forestry or EFAW + Equestrian qualification and certificate.

  • The Wilderness Project is regulated by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB). All FAIB certificates are recognised by HSE and Department for Education/OFSTED Inspectors. The FAIB quality managment system holds third party Certification via UKAS and operates under the standards required for ISO 9001 (2015).

    The FAIB are one of the founding members of the First Aid Quality Partnership (FAQP), a body that includes representation from HSE, the Resuscitation Council (UK), the Voluntary Aid Societies and from OFQUAL, SQA as well as Fire, Police and Ambulance. The Wilderness Project meets the Quality Assurance standards published by the FAQP.
