4 day Wilderness Expeditions
Have you always wanted to trek into the wilderness but felt like there are too many unknowns? Our expeditions combine training and skills development with independent wild country days, experiencing some stunning Welsh countryside and carrying everything you need.
Our expert instructors are always on hand to offer support and guidance as you embark on your adventure.

Join our open expeditions or book an expedition especially for your group on a date of your choosing. Alternatively we’ll work with you to develop a programme that meets your needs.
Our courses normally run in the hills and mountains of mid-Wales but suitable alternative venues can be arranged in other parts of the country if requested by a group.

This 4 day journey into the stunning Cambrian Mountains is suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness, ready to be on the move for around 8 hours each day, through wild country terrain whilst carrying an expedition rucksack. We will equip you with the knowledge and skills to stay safe and navigate across rugged open hilltops. You will trek with a small group of likeminded individuals as you work as a team and support each other through the ups and downs of expedition life. Our instructors will accompany you at the beginning of your adventure and then remotely supervise you, meeting you along the way, as your confidence grows.

The Cambrian Mountains rise up in the very heart of Wales, a place where hills, river valleys and meadows have sustained life for millennia.
Surrounded by the counties of Ceredigion, Powys and Carmarthenshire, and encircled by three national parks, this is a landscape which is steeped in Welsh history and heritage, and where agriculture, language and culture are entwined.

You will need to bring your own food for the four days. We provide in depth pre-course guidance so you won’t feel unprepared, and opportunity to top up supplies before you set off.
